Most of Oakville and most of Burlington do not need Starlink. Cable and fibre run through the built-up subdivisions on both sides of the QEW and the 403, and if that is where you live and the connection works, we are not going to talk you into a $449 install you don't need. The real work sits north of Dundas St and the 407 — Kilbride, Lowville, the concessions running through north Burlington, and the rural estates scattered across Halton beyond the last fibre node. Out there the provider's coverage map is a lot more optimistic than the actual signal at the end of a half-kilometre driveway, and Starlink is a legitimate first connection, not a novelty.
Two more patterns come up. Bronte, Palermo and the ravine lots along the escarpment edge often have cable running to the house and still can't get Starlink working from a roof mount, because mature trees block the clear sky view a dish needs — that's a pole-mount job, not a coverage problem. On the big estate lots common through Glen Abbey and further out, the house sits far enough from the road that whatever Wi-Fi is already inside dies before it reaches the pool house or the far end of the yard — a network problem, not an internet-source problem. And some clients have working cable and want Starlink anyway, as a wired-in backup for a home office where a dropped call actually costs something.

Oakville, Bronte, Palermo and Glen Abbey are Zone A for us — travel is free, and most of the work here is TV mounting, mesh Wi-Fi extension and smart home wiring rather than Starlink, because cable and fibre already do the job. If Starlink is what you actually need in these pockets, it's almost always a tree-cover or big-lot case, not a coverage gap.
Burlington is Zone B, a flat $59 travel fee — downtown Burlington near the lake is wired much the same as Oakville, but head north past Dundas St and the 407 into Kilbride, Lowville, Waterdown and the concessions of north Burlington, and Starlink starts being the actual answer instead of a fallback. Same story further into rural Halton — flat $449 for the install either way, the only variable is the travel line.
